"You Are Good"--Nicole Nordeman

When the Sun starts to rise and I open my eyes
You are Good, So Good
In the heat of the day with each stone that I lay
You are so Good

With every breath I take in
I'll tell You I'm grateful again
When the moon climbs high
before each kiss good night
You are Good

When the road starts to turn around each bend I've learned
You are good, So Good
And when somebody's hand holds me up, helps me stand
You are...So Good

With every breath I take in, I'll tell You I'm grateful again
'Cause It's more than enough just to know I am loved
and You are Good

So how can I thank You? What can I bring?
What can these poor hands lay at the feet of the King?
So I'll sing You a love song.
It's all that I have to tell You
I'm grateful for holding my life in Your hands.

When it's dark and it's cold and I can't find my soul
You are Good, So Good
When the world has gone gray and the rain's here to stay
You are STILL Good

With every breath I take in I'll tell You I'm grateful again
Though the storms they may swell, even then it is well and
You are Good

So how can I thank You? What can I bring?
What can these poor hands lay at the feet of the King?
So I'll sing You a love song.
It's all that I have to tell You
I'm grateful for holding my life in Your hands

You are holding my life in Your hands

As I sat listening to this song I thought of the many times that I complain to God about the tiniest thing that goes wrong in my life. I just throw up my hands and say, "It's not fair God!"

Whereas, it's not uncommon to read  in the news day after day about people living without one square meal a day, struggling to make an income, don't have the luxury of a house, not blessed with a child for years, and the list goes on.

How can I even grumble when I am so immensely blessed. I have a lesson to learn from the Israelites who had to spend 40 years in the wilderness as a consequence of their choice to rebel against God. I have made a choice.... to be grateful.

God is good. He is so, so GOOD!

The Potter's Hand

The Potter's Hand
I have read all the Psalms in the Bible. But one always speaks to my heart and that is Psalm 139. The psalmist David, I would say worships God by acknowledging His greatness, wisdom, power and sovereignity over His life. Just to think that the Creator of the whole universe knew me even before He formed me, and knows every thought of mine, and my entire future is so amazing. This personal relationship with my Maker began even before I was created. He is in total control over my life. What a wonderful God I serve! He is worthy of all praise and glory.
I give my life into the Potter's hand.
